I graduated from the BSN program on Dec 10, 2010. Information from the school i attended, was sent in to the boards on Dec 13. I have not yet received an authorized to test (ATT). I was wondering if any other nurse graduates, who graduated around the same time, has received their ATT?

Did you check online first to see if the boards approved your paper work, that takes 2 to 4 weeks. Also did you pay Pearson yet because you're not going to get an ATT until you pay Pearson vue.

Good luck with your test.

Sheila was right!Goodluck with your exam.

Thanks yall!

I have done everything on my part; payed the $200 exam fee, $40 application fee and payed for and completed the fingerprint and criminal background check. I have been checking my application status. I guess I was just hoping that since I applied online, it would not take as long. I am so ready to take the NCLEX and get on with my life. I have been a LPN for the past 9 years and I am looking forward to the career opportunities that comes with the RN license. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Yea it's going to take a little longer than 7 days. I called them after 4 weeks to see if they received my paper work, and they told me no. But come to find out they did received my paper work and it was in a pile somewhere. Then finally someone told me everything was backed up, but after I called them they did get my stuff completed. Merry Christmas to you all!

I graduated on September 4th and my paperwork was sent out September 7th. I got my ATT on September 20th and took the NCLEX on September 22nd and my name was on the BON website on September 23rd. A couple of my classmates got their ATT the week before I did but most got it after. Classmates applying in other states waited much, much longer, so I think the speed depends a lot on your state's board. We also graduated at a slightly "off" time, so your board might have many more applications to go through now than ours did in September.

Good luck on your test!

I was actually curious about this too. I graduated at the same time and a bunch of my classmates have already received their ATTs. Everything is approved for me, but I called Pearson Vue and they were extremely rude and said that I needed to wait 4 weeks (not that telling me that was rude, her tone was) from the day I registered. However, everything is in line, and all my friends already have theirs (registered around the same time). The BON is closed for the holidays so I'm just going to wait and try not to worry!

Today when I checked my application status, the georgia board of nursing approved my application to sit and take the RN NCLEX on 12/21/10. It was my understanding that when the board approved you, they would notify the pearson vue and then pearson vue would email me my ATT. And guess what? When I checked my email, there was no ATT! I called some of my fellow class mates and they had not only received an approved application, but had also received an email from pearson vue with an ATT. Well, I panicked. 1st, I called pearson vue and reported my application being approved to sit and take the test but had yet received an ATT from them. They checked their system and instructed me to call the state boards and let them know. 2nd, I call the georgia state boards and reported my problem to them. The lady said, that should no be. I gave her my personal info and she looked it up and verified that the board had approved me and that since it was just approved yesterday, that I should check back with pearson vue after lunchtime. At lunch time I still not receive any info in regards to an ATT. I called back georgia state boards and spoke with a different lady and reported my problem. She also took my personal info and looked me up in their system. She said that I was approved to test and that the same info was reported to pearson vue on the same day I was approved. She voiced she would notify her office and would get them to resent my info. And I finally received my ATT. I know this my be a little to much info, but I hope it helps you. Good Luck. And by the way, I was able to schedule my test for January 12! Which I didn't think was to bad.

That's helpful info, I think that I'm problem out of luck until Monday, which is fine. Pearson Vue kept telling me that I had to wait 4 weeks from the day I registered to call them and complain about the situation. I'm sitting here thinking "um, but you have the info I registered, and the BON has the info saying that I'm registered and cleared to take the test, so what's the hold up?" She just kept repeating that I needed to wait 4 weeks and then call back like she was reading from an FAQ script. :uhoh3: I can wait until after the holidays and then deal with it. It sounds like there should be some open spots and like people were able to schedule pretty close to getting their ATT.

My bigger problem is that my fingerprints keep getting rejected. The people who fingerprinted me this time were saying that I might just have shallower fingerprints because I worked in food service for years and probably washed my fingerprints away. Apparently this happens with nurses too!

Hope everything works out for you. Speaking of working your fingers to the bone! Good luck.

I graduated December 13, and as far as I know, no one in my class has received an ATT. I think I'm even further behind because my fingerprints were rejected twice and now I have to go get them manually printed and mail three cards to the ga board. So frustrating!

I was wrong when I thought my stress level would go down after school was over!
