authorization to test....how long?

I was just going to make a thread about this too I just finished a PN program & am anticipating turning in all my paperwork this week. But I wanted to know when I will receive my ATT? Some of my classmates who took the boards last yr said that it took them months to receive their ATT

I think it took me about a week to get my ATT, this was back in Dec, right before Christmas. I was able to sit for NCLEX Jan 5, but it took MBON a MONTH to post up my license # and I don't have a criminal record or anything like that. It was infuriating.

Just curious...How long did it take? I sent in my stuff to the BON, and registered with Pearson, but I don't think I got anything from them even as confirmation?

You didn't get anything from Pearson Vue? I think if you get correspondence from them via snail-mail, it takes about a week to get a confirmation letter (it will say in bold & capitalized THIS IS NOT YOUR AUTHORIZATION TO TEST) about receiving your payment & everything. Now as for the MBON..Idk how long that will take since you mentioned that you mailed the stuff to them. Back in the day they were notoriously slow about opening mail & all. I'd just call (don't e-mail them; waste of time) to see if they have received your stuff.

Thanks! I did actually get an email from Person Vue, but nothing from the BON, that is where I was confused. BUT....today I did get my ATT! I am so excited, I just couldn't decide how much longer I needed to study. So all in all, from the time I mailed in my application April 20) until today (May 30) it took a total of 41 days, in case anyone else is wondering! I leave clear across the country, otherwise I would have just gone into the office in person to verify, as phone calls/emails were never answered.

Now, I just need LUCK to pass my boards. Kaplan is complete, and now I am studying like crazy!

That's good to hear! Good luck on the NCLEX! I think Kaplan is pretty great so you should be well-prepared.
