australia registration

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if this has been posted, I tried to find something on this topic but only found it for people who are currently registered in Australia.

I am looking to apply for registration in Queensland, but I'm not sure if I should start the process now. Does anyone know what would happen to my application if it hasn't gone through as of 1 July 2010?

If I did get registered through Queensland now, when the national board took place, my registration would transfer over to national, right? Which would mean that I could leave Queensland for the latter part of my trip?

If anyone has any answers please get back to me, not sure what to do exactly!

I don't know what you mean by "if it hasn't gone through by July 1". As long as you apply before July 1, you'll just apply to QLD as usual and you won't have to do anything different. It will transfer to the new scheme and you will be contacted. Either way, you should be able to work in any state that is participating in the scheme (not all are, as far as I understand).

sorry, by "gone through", I meant if my registration hasn't been approved by July 1, will it transfer over to the national board and get approved through them? Or be disregarded?

Should I apply now through Queensland or wait and apply through the national board?
