I'm glad to hear your ceremony turned out great. I'm also glad your dad was able to swear you in too. Mine went pretty well too. I was commissioned on May 31st. It was a really small ceremony at the recruiters office. I'm going to get my uniforms next month, as well as, any other odds and ends that I need for COT. I have not tried to get our IDs yet but I'm going to ask my recruiter about it. She told me the same thing as your recruiter. I really would like to get as much done as possible before COT so that my mom does not have to worry about doing these things for my son while I'm gone. This are starting to get close. I have so much to do/people to visit before I leave and feel like I don't have enough time to do it. I wonder if the orders will come somtime this summer or right before we leave. Has your recruiter given you an estimated date?

Hello I will also be in the Aug COT I was able to get an ID for my family and I. Just call the ID place to the base near you. They will check and see if youu are in Deers system ad if you are you can get it. It will be in reserve status not active.

Oh I forgot stay on your recruit.. about orders I have had mines since april. I emailed every two weeks asking about them. I was also commissioned in Feb as well.

We will have to get medical clearance so hopefully that will mean that we are in DEERS. I will ask my recruiter tro check on that. That would be great if so, then I can get that the same day I get my uniforms. How did you commission and get orders so quickly? I thought most people found out if they were in or not in March? That's great that things have moved so quickly for you. Where will you be stationed after COT?

Hey I just kept asking the recruiter. Until I finally got an email with my orders. I am going to wright patt after cot. What about you.?

Anyone know when I our actual time begins to acrue for promotion and leave? Is it when we signed our letter of acceptance with PCS orders or when we commission in? I signed my letter back in November saying I was going to Keesler but I'm not commissioning in till latter this month. Also, if we are in the system how can we get on base to get our IDs. Recruiter is saying I have to wait till COT but that's not what I am hearing on here.

i think my recruiter said the time begins when you commission. i'm not sure about leave though. i'm guessing that will probably be when you go to cot. fp83rn said they got theirs by calling the id office and making sure you're in the deers system. my recruiter says i have to wait to but i'm going to see if that can be changed.

Hi atlrn0828,I understand what you mean. I feel like there are a lot of people that I will not have a chance to see before I leave. Silly work keeps getting in the way of my social life! Of course I would not have much of a social life without work. I haven't heard anything about orders, but I haven't asked lately either. Originally my recruiter told me a few weeks after all the commissioning paperwork was completed. I will have to ask her. I would really like to get moving with some of this stuff. Like uniforms, ID cards, and scheduling movers. Oh, and give my notice at work. I am too chicken to give it before final orders arrive. I am afraid they may postpone my COT date and I would be out of a job. No good! How is the physical fitness coming along? I am working at it, but I am still afraid that I will be the slowest person!! Just have to keep working I guess and make sure that doesn't happen.

Well I want to at least try to see as many people as possible. I may be a little brave a resign before getting orders. At least you will be in the states so visiting people will not be as difficult for you. I'm not really sure how often I will get to come home being all the way in Japan. Ugh, but don't you hate that work is making things difficult, lol. My recruiter said I will get mine after we get medical clearance; so not sure when that will happen. Well, PT is coming. My running is still slow but I'm working on it.

Since you've gotten your orders so early, have you already contacted TMO and arrange for shipping of your HHG?

Yes I already set up my tmo.they are going to make you do self consueling for the move there are two ways online and in person..i chose online
