About how long have people been waiting to receive their ATT codes? I spoke with someone at the Office of the Professions in Albany earlier this week and she said that it will take another 2-3 weeks before they process my application. I am getting nervous as I already have a job in New York. I went to school in New Hampshire where most of my fellow students have already sat for, or at least scheduled, their NCLEX exam.

New york has an application that gives priority to graduates of ny schools. since albany is being flooded with those apps at this point yours has unfortunately been pushed down the list, don't worry though you'll get your ATT soon. I graduated in ny and used a form to give myself priority and had my ATT in a week. my teacher told us there is a huge difference in using this form and the one you had to use.

I was in a very similar situation (coming from a different state to a job in NYC). I was really nervous I wouldn't get my ATT in time because someone on the phone told me it could take about 2 weeks to be processed. I called them every day and explained my situation. On the fourth day of calling, a really nice lady helped me and seemed to push my application through because I got my ATT the next morning. Just be really persistent with them and call every day explaining why you need it so quickly. The good thing is that once you get your ATT you can pretty much take the NCLEX as soon as you want if you are willing to go anywhere in the state. I couldn't get a spot in NYC for over a month so I chose to go to Albany instead to get in sooner (although I did have to get a hotel the night before). There were places in New York that I could have gone to the very next day after receiving my ATT if I had wanted to. Good luck to you, and don't stress too much because it will work out for you :)

hi m Kristy02_RN
what kind of special form yu are reffering to..?!
My teacher told us the only way to get the form is from the ny school that you graduated from. I can't remember the number of the form. But it says on the top "you must be a graduate of a nys school to use this form." i'm sorry I can't be of more help.
ok, thanks

I sent my application to Albany on May 26th, however the head of my school didn't send the list of approved graduates to Albany until June 10th. I registered with Pearson Vue on June 28th and had my ATT the morning of June 30th.

Hi everybody.
I am international nurse and I was not here long time.I have a question for somebody about ATT code.A year ago I applied for RN licence in NY and it took really long time. Finally I received a letter that I have been approved and can to register for NCLEX.I want to ask that when I will apply with VUE and they will send me ATT code how long is expiration in NY state? I heard that is just 90 days.I am worried that I am still not prepared for exam so can I wait little bit and register with VUE later?
Thanks

Usually you have a couple of years to apply to Pearsonvue once approved by NY but once ATT is issued I believe NY has 90 days for it to be used.
