  1. O my Gosh I have so empathy for you! I am also International Nurse, I worked many years in Slovakia.When I came to US applied for licence in NY, and they approved my education. I need to learn a lot for NCLEX and TOEFL! I do not know a lot of that. How much time did you spend to learn everything? In addition, which books are best? I wish good luck and hope you are doing everything best! :) Let me know how it was.
  2. Hi everybody. I am international nurse and I was not here long time.I have a question for somebody about ATT code.A year ago I applied for RN licence in NY and it took really long time.Finally I received a letter that I have been approved and can to register for NCLEX.I want to ask that when I will apply with VUE and they will send me ATT code how long is expiration in NY state? I heard that is just 90 days.I am worried that I am still not prepared for exam so can I wait little bit and register with VUE later? Thanks

  6. I was graduated in Europe/ Slovakia/ in 1984 and worked 17 years as a RN .I came to US/2008/ because I got married and I would like to know where I have to start to do my licence here. Is anybody here who can help me? I am confused about CGFN. Anyway I have green card ,SS and at this time I am working as a STNA/CNA in Ohio. Iwould like to know is TOEFL test has any limitation ? Also CGFGN ? I would appreciate for your answer.Thank you very much

Hi.I just passed my test last week in Ohio.I don't know what is in your book,but we had book especially for skills.I had exactly occupied bed and bedpan.I changed just bottom sheet,top sheet ,blanket and pillow.Everything was fine.Skill about bedpan I did also good and examiner told me that resident can't help me ,so I rolled him on side and don't forget rail up on this side.I just forgot gave the resident washcloth and towel for washing hands. I wish you good luck
  9. I agree what cassy123 said.I worked in hospital in Slovakia with TB patients so my test is also positive and never change.I always have x-ray and it's OK.But if somebody has TB it's show on x-ray.So don't worry you'll be fine

Wow you are in a same situation as me.I forgot everything! Math and especially here I need perfect English:cry:.First of all i need a job and after my next goal is evaluation my education from Slovakia/my natural country:)/It's going to be hard but I would like to work here as a nurse because I did it for 17 years in Slovakia.It's my life.I wish you good luck with your studying.

Hi.I am just new on this board but i read your advices few months.I have long story but i would like to tell just short.I am international nurse from Europe and I came to US just last year in September.I need somewhere to start so I applied for STNA training and finished in April.A week ago I passed my STNA test so now I am registered in NAR in Ohio.I am looking for a job but i already had an interview and they offer me just $8/hr.Do you know which facilities pay more?Also how they pay in a hospitals?
