I am familiar with it. My LPN program required it. Actually, our MED-SURG and program final were ATI. I consider it a pretty good preparation for NCLEX. (not the only one that I'd use though) PM me, if you'd like more info

Here's my 2 cents...

Do NOT waste your money on ATI. Our school made us each by the whole package ($425!), and it was not at all helpful for the NCLEX. Plus, I was constantly finding typos and bad page design within the books. Stick with Suzanne's plan for passing the NCLEX. It's cheap and it works.

Good luck to you.

Our school required us to take the ATI exam strictly as a predictor test to identify our weaknesses and help us figure out where we needed to study to pass the NCLEX. We did not use it as a study tool.

Our school uses ATI exams and study materials throughout the nursing program. Pretty much just use the exams to help gauge where we are compared to others and as a predictor for NCLEX success. The books are informative and I do find the non-proctored exams quite helpful with rationales for both correct and incorrect answers. Am just about to graduate and just enrolled in Kaplan Review, so will just have to wait and see how well the ATI prepared me for my NCLEX.

Thanks...I'm doing Suzanne's tip number one.God bless!:nuke:

We have ATI testing in addition to the regular tests and finals. If you fail the ATI, you don't advance in the program even if you passed everything else. They allow 2 tries and then you have to start paying out of pocket for the test. I'm not sure whether or not it actually helps.

OK..just what is Suzanne's plan?

ok..just what is suzanne's plan?

hi,this is suzanne's study guide first tip...

this is to get you started in the preparation for taking the nclex exam, whether it is for the rn or the pn version.

the actual program that i designed is six weeks long and is based on the questions from the cd of the saunder's comprehensive review for the nclex-rn or pn.

if you have been out of school for more than 16 months, or have not passed the exam with more than two attempts, please start here to prepare yourself for the next part. and this is especially for foreign-trained nurses who wish to work in the us.

start with using the book, do the questions at the end of the chapter, if you get at least 75% correct without using the book for review, then you are set to go onto the next chapter, and repeat the same process. if at anytime you get a lower score, then take the time to read that chapter in its entirety.

for any areas that you do not feel comfortable with, or did not see in your program, or feel that you need a good review of that subject, the book is excellent as a resource for you. you need to feel comfortable with the material, that is the goal of my program.

hope that this helps many of you get started........................

the first tip uses the book only, do not use the cd for this, it will not work.
