ASU BSN Spring 2019

Making a post for those applying for the ASU Spring 2019 cohort..

Applying for the second time. Retook my TEAS exam and my score lowered by 2%, so I'm using the score I used for the Fall 2018 application. My GPA boosted just slightly after finishing all my pre-reqs.

Pretty bummed, but not too hopeful about getting in with a score of 1.729 :-(

Good-luck to everyone applying! Mid-October is when they said they'll notify us.

No worries! I also applied with an advancement score of 1.70 due to my low TEAS score. I ended up with a 79.3% but have not finished all of my pre-requisites. I am retaking my TEAS exam soon and finishing up my pre-reqs with hopefully A's so it could boost up my advancement score, even if I do not get in this cycle.

I tried making a thread about this last month and didn't get any replies haha. I applied with a 1.85 as a transfer. I have my fingers crossed there will be competitive seats open this cycle! Are you guys applying as direct admits or transfers?

Has anyone heard back yet?? The wait is killing me. Also does anyone know if we actually need to purchase the book bundle? I have always bought books off Amazon and other sites only if we actually will be using the book and being tested on it.

I am applying as a direct admit. You have a really good shot at getting in with a 1.85. There's a link on the CONHI website that shows all the past application cycles and usually the spring is easier for competitive applicants to get in since there are way less directs that are a semester ahead.

I'm hoping we'll find out in a week- 2 weeks from now! I have no idea about the book pack but I personally would buy it just to be safe. Nursing school is supposed to be reading heavy! And even if you arent assigned the reading its good to have the books as reference. Where is the link to the book bundle? I've actually never heard about that yet

That's good to hear! I'm trying to not think about it but the time frame for when we get decisions is coming up and I want to know already!!

Hey guys I just recently became member on allnurses. I am a current student (competitive applicant). I keep checking my email. Middle of October is next week! very excited to find out- a little nervous. I applied with a 1.847 advancement score.

It's hard to find but here's the link:

If you scroll down to I think it was the fifth page it says how many people have gotten in each semester!

Hi! This will be my second time applying as competitive. My TEAs score the first time was in the mid 70s and I didn't make it in.. I was able to retake TEAs and scored an 88.7% the second time! My score for the app for this cycle was a 1.887 so I am hoping for the best this time around! I keep checking my e-mail everyday but nothing still :(

Hey that is an amazing advancement score! go you! do you know like when they will be sending emails- like do they send the email to everyone on the same day or on different days- how does this work?

Hey and thank you! If anyone is struggling with the TEAs exam I highly recommend buying the course practice program from ATI. It is a bit pricey, but it helped me so much more than solely studying the book.

Last year, I believe we all received an e-mail on the same day - although I am not sure about specific times. I was enrolled in HCR240 at the time (Spring2018). By the time I got to class, everyone (including myself) was talking about the advancement results.
