Are they trying to rip me off?

Published

Hi all. I'm going to be first time traveler very soon. My family and I are trying to make it to the Northwest. I have applied to different companies, and I've been trying to research. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so it is taking me some time to figure all of this out. Since I will be traveling with my family, we are going to need a 3 bedroom rental. The best rate that I've gotten with my rental and family insurance paid is 30/hr. Does this sound fair? I keep reading all these posts where some nurses are making into the high 30's and even 40's. Just wanted to get some information from seasoned travelers. Thanks.

That sounds about right. Having the family insurance and 3 bedroom apartment paid for is a big expense.

Most companies would require you to pay for the difference between a 1 and 3 bedroom apt., and pay for your dependent's insurance, so this doesn't sound bad.

Sounds fair to me since you are getting a much bigger apartment than the average traveller. Lots of us single girls will be in a studio or a one bedroom.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm just trying to find the best rate possible. There is so much to learn and each company figures the rate, housing and taxes differently. Any more suggestions are appreciated. Thanks all.

sounds good to me!
