Hi yal, this is student nurse from Texas, and I am here to specifically ask you people about an app for level 1 students Nursing Comp course (already passed Pharm and Health). I recently posted a thread concerning nursing practice question resources; in fact, I got this new app with bunch of practice problems and I love how much they put me in the mood for studying and discovering more applications and knowledge, and just overall helps me how to take a test and get used to nursing tests... at the comfort in my own bed.
I have done a through research on some apps for iphone and came up with various apps (some expensive, some reasonable, some cheap) that will foster and hone my critical thinking and nursing mind. Interestingly, I found an app for level 2 nursing students: app for Mental/Psyche and for Med/Surg. Please let me know if you have some info leading to my treasure hunt. I believe that it will really help me out on the grades and serve as awesome stepping stones. Thanks!

Hey there, would you kindly share the apps you find helpful? :) Im starting LVN program in 3 wks and until I receive my laptop my phone is my research lol! I would appreciate any sites, apps & tips on starting my new education! So excited but nervous!
hey there, I am working on my RN, BSN, so I don't know whole lot about LVN program and how they differ with RN program. But go to itunes if you have iphones and search nclex or LVN and they should offer you some apps for practice questions. I have a free app with about 1,000 questions; it's called Taylor's fundamental nursing or something. Or you can buy some for reasonable price. Go in there and read what they describe their products; it's a beautiful thing. Good luck.
PS: what's the difference b/t RN and LVN

Here is really good info on starting out with apps.
If you are purchased clinical help apps, like skyscape, I have a link for 25% any product. These items can really help on the clinical floor. You can get your school's required books, like Tabers, Drugs guides etc, right on your ipod or phone and can quickly look things up on the floor.
Here is the link: http://www.skyscape.com/smartrain/smartraindb.aspx?data=rfx4US6QUjrSPnxZ%2byLmyXxGo92V5tXsRlTQmzY%2f6K0oGv140giPi4FPbjW28Q8N3F50LpprF62STxEqjXhSzw%3d%3d&WT.mc_id=51531
Also, search on the mobile computing forum and you will find lots of good info!
i already have skyscape, as it was required by clinical instructors... spent about $200 and haven't even used it. i was totally scammed into buying skyscape haha. fyi the link above doesn't work. thanks

The really SUCKY thing about skyscape is that it is a subscription, and after the one year membership is up, you no longer get to keep the information. Unbound medicine offers suites with the exact same apps, but after the first year you still get to keep them just without new updates.
My two favorite apps that I use daily are:
Davis Drug Guide
LabGear
