Applying for UCF Spring 2012 Basic BSN Program (Cocoa)

Just wanted to start a group where applicants for UCF's BSN program can go for moral support as well as information. As those who have applied or are planning on applying know, the deadline is July 1st. We shouldn't expect to hear anything back for atleast 6 weeks from what I heard. The suspense! Good luck everyone! :)

I actually just messaged our person about the fingerprinting yesterday. My status was still at like 67% or something. The first two steps were completed but the third step was waiting on them to approve. The lady I emailed told me not to worry as long as the first two parts are done, I am fine. It will take the college a little while to verify and approve me "for placement". Did you make your allnurses account when you were waiting to hear back from the college? I like how similar our user-names are. Its kinda funny. :) Prayers were answered! :)

Oh good, that's a relief! As for my account, I actually made it when I was waiting on another college months ago. I was originally turned down by quite a few CON's so I nearly cried when I got my acceptance email from Daytona! Prayers were indeed answered!

That's really cool you were able to transfer to Cocoa. I could not imagine driving over to Daytona all the time. I am going to inbox message you the link to our facebook page. Like I said, it's a sad looking page... lol. :)

Hello everyone :)

I cant find the UCF Cocoa Facebook page. Can someone please send me the link? Thank you!

I would very much love to but I'm afraid I haven't posted enough to do so!

Hi everyone,

I was accepted off of the waitlist for Daytona Campus last month - I'm so grateful to be in the program and I have been following your posts for a while now with high hopes. I just want to say how glad I am to be in and that I can't wait to meet my future classmates! I read there is a facebook group for Cocoa, but can anyone tell me if there is one for the Daytona group? I haven't had any luck finding it so any help is greatly appreciated. Also, thanks to "Kay" for lots of incredibly useful information! She has been a great mentor already - I'm new to forums like this so I don't really know how to give her "Kudos" or whatever it is you are supposed to do, but THANKS! SO EXCITED!

Hello ufpsychgrad,

I am also a daytona student and I started the Daytona facebook group. Ive heard from a few others that they weren't able to find it in search. I am not sure why, I didn't make it a secret group. Anyhow, if there is a way I can send you a friend request I can then add you to the group. Let me know how to find you on facebook or send me a private message here and let me know. And, Congrats!!

Here is the name of the daytona facebook group.

Wow - thanks for the quick response  I requested to join the group, but I searched the same keywords before and couldn't find anything - maybe because it shows up as a closed group?? I don't know much about site administration or (forums for that matter) - anyway I sent the request - my name is Elizabeth Aurig Williams. Thanks so much for the info!

Yay! Congratulations :) And it's no problem at all, I really just want you guys to know what's coming and how to prepare yourselves the best you can!

Hi guys! I believe I met a few of you today at orientation! Just wanted to say hello and get the facebook link from ya. -Amy
