yeah i'm doing the same. i have also been reading the facebook board here and there, and it seems they are still working out a lot of kinks in the program. there seems to be a lot of confusion going on. oh well, at least we are in :))

You won't get the list for a while. However, I did get all of my books for about $500 online - they give you a "bundle" list with both the books and the ebook versions on them for like $1200 or something ridiculous. You don't need both versions and you won't use the textbooks again officially (except for the Medical-Surgical book) so I would save your money and buy them used online. Make use of some sites' rental features as well, it saves a ton.

That's great to know. Thanks. I hope this question doesn't seem silly but I was reading the Nursing handbook and it was detailing proper attire to where to class. How strict is the overall dress code requirement? The handbook says "no jeans". It looks like I will be going clothes shopping. I don't have much "business-casual" style clothes. :)

rofl idk about cocoa but we've shown up in pajamas. let me tell you i own nothing but jeans. i have never even heard of the "no jeans" requirement. i'd double check just in case, but seriously. i've never heard of it. our instructors wear jeans.

Regarding the ATI package for $388.00, do you know if this can be purchased elsewhere online for less expensive? Thanks :)

No, it is through the school. They choose the package through ATI and you get what they want you to get. They open up little practice exams and you get books that have practice questions and like a basic outline of different things along with it. You also take tests each semester that are proctored through the ATI package.

I live in Melbourne, so going to Daytona was definitely inconvenient (and expensive). Awh, well the page is good to have for later! I'm sure it'll pick up when we get closer to starting. What area are you from?

That's cool. One of the other girls on this wall is from Melbourne. I live in Cocoa which is great. I only live like 5 minutes from the campus so it is very convenient. I am thankful because I will not be working once the program starts so saving money on gas is a must. Since you were already accepted to Daytona, were you given the book list? Someone sent it to me but I haven't purchased any books yet.

Awesome, I'm jealous of how close you are, no rush getting to classes! I was given the book list but I haven't bought them yet. Looking around for the best prices first! The certified profile makes me so nervous. There was trouble verifying where I volunteer which was just settled today and the final step for my fingerprints hasn't been completed yet. I'm not sure if that step needs to be done by Friday or not but it's cutting it close!
