Applying to RN-BSN program while still in school

Im not sure u can. I think you have to be licensed with at least one year of experience. I think you should call them to find out.

I'm pretty sure you have to have your RN license in order to apply to the program.

You do need to have passed NCLEX to enroll in the WGU program.

You have to have your RN license number and be working in the healthcare field.

Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for the RN-BSN while still in the 4th semester of an RN program? That way one can start immediately within the next month (or two months)?

What courses needs to be within the last 5 years? I heard Statistics.

Hi -- previous posters are correct, you do have to have your (permanent) license and be employed (as a nurse).

I want to do the same thing as you mentioned in your post, but it looks like the soonest will be 2 or 3 months after graduation, and that's with me planning to take the NCLEX asap after graduation (which is in 10 days!!!) and planning to be employed by the end of May/beginning of June.

All of your info (final transcripts, license and job info, etc.) has to be provided to WGU by the 15th of the month prior to when you want to start (ex. June 15th if you want to start July 1st). The enrollment counselor also told me that sometimes there are too many people starting in a certain month, so they push the latest applicants to the following month -- so even if all of my info is in by June 15th, there is still a possibility I won't start until August 1st. She did tell me that they have never had to push an applicant back by more than 1 month, however, so that doesn't sound too bad.

I've already applied, sent transcripts for the colleges I went to previous to nsg school, filed my FAFSA, and taken the admission exam. That's all I can do for now...
