Applying to a nursing program Fall 2015?!

Hi All!

I am planning to apply to a couple of nursing programs for this upcoming Fall 2015 semester, who else is applying?!

I'm located in Maryland and my top choices are:

George Washington University

University of Maryland

Marymount University

Anyone else applying to these schools? =)

I'm applying to a BSN program in California for Fall 2015. Im only applying to the program at the university where I'm doing prereqs because it's in my city and I can commute to school.

Even if I got accepted elsewhere, I wouldn't be able to go because I wouldn't be able to pay the room and board. I don't qualify for loans other than $5500 in federal loans because I don't have a cosigner, and fed loans would only cover barely 1/3 of the cost for room and board.

I plan on applying for nursing school as well for next year. I will probably be applying for both an RN and LPN program and depending on where I am at that time will hopefully be accepted. I am located in MN but am from OH and am applying at schools in both states.

Good luck ladies! Two of the programs i'm applying for are super expensive and since i am a second degree student I will only be able to get loans as well. Hoping everything works out because i've never taken out a loan before so i am nervous about that.

I hope you both get into your programs. Keep me updated! =)

I attended MU. What about Salisbury? Also GWU is awesome school and lower price.

I would love to hear more information about MU's program if you have time to tell me!

As of right now i am finishing up my last prereq to apply. Can you tell me a little about the clinicals? (start times, rotations, anything! lol). Also is it a 15 month program?

Although i do have a top choice, I am excited to apply to both MU and GWU and hoping i get into both programs so that I can choose the best place for me =)

I'm applying to GWU's ADN to CNM bridge program. I haven't been able to find many posts from previous applicants so I'm a bit nervous and unfamiliar with what their standard students's stats are.

I just turned in my application for Fall 2015 for my community college ASN. Now that I have my final grades for this semester I'm also going to apply to 2 BSN programs just cause, but I'm only really looking at the ASN because it will be free with no loans and it's pretty well regarded.

I live in northeast PA

A little delayed in this chat but I am applying to UMD, George Washington, Georgetown, and Towson for Fall of 2015. All of my apps are in and I'm just waiting on my last professors letter of recommendation. I am a second degree student (already have a BA in Human Biology) and have been working full time for the last three years in NoVA.

i always knew I wanted to do something in healthcare, but I tossed around the ideas of physical therapy, PA, and Nursing. Nursing was the winner! I loved some of the volunteer work I sid, and have met so many incredible people recently who are nurses themselves! I am so so excited for decisions to come out in March ( and so so nervous!)
