Hi,
I have been writing APA papers for three years and hate using APA. Can anyone please tell me what the best APA software is?
Thanks so much for your help!

I don't have an answer for you, but I look forward to reading anyone else's answer! I hate APA as well and I'm embarking on two more years of APA-style writing. I finally bought the book.

There was a thread here that had some and now I can't find it. I had it bookmarked on an old computer that crashed.

I love PERRLA software. It's a cheap download (seems as if it is around $25?)
Before you download/buy anything, make sure you know if your school will be using the 5th edition or the recently released 6th edition APA manual, and that whatever program you buy formats according to those rules.

I use a tool that our library has called Refworks. It works with our research databases, to collect all my citations, creates my reference page and I can even use a tool that comes with it called Write-N-Cite that hanldes the contextual citations as a Word 2007 Add In. It does a great job and since it's a tool from the library, I've paid for it as a part of my school tuition.
Before buying anything, I'd talk to your research librarian at school....they might have something for you already.
