Anyone using CAA to pay for Excelsior ADN?

Published

I am trying to get registered and I keep getting the run around at Excelsior! I have been transferred six times in one call. They told me I have to fax in my registration form. Guess what? It doesn't exist on their website!!! Anyone else using the CAA and have some advice for me??:hdvwl:

Finally got someone on the phone today and found the answer I needed! I figured I'd post it here in case anyone else had the same question!

Once you get your voucher from the MyCAA office (it comes electronically now) fax it to the Excelsior Bursar's office. Once they process it you will be able to register for exams online! I can't wait to get the notice that I can sign up!!

I have had several exams paid for my MyCAA. Once youve been approved there should be an icon that you can click on, online that says something like "FA" or "Financial Aid" and you can save that (its in PDF format) and attach it to an email to the Bursars office. Thats the easiest way. Once Im done with HD3 next Wed (and they make me CPNE eligible) they will be paying for my FCCA and CPNE too :-D YAY!!! Good luck!

That's fantastic! I am so excited! I was just having trouble with the getting in touch with the right people at Excelsior to find out who to send it to! LOL I am so excited, can't wait to be where you are!

I ran into almost the same thing when I found out about MyCAA in May. I knew that the Proof of FA form needed to be sent to the Bursars office but couldnt figure out where to find it. The Bursars office couldnt tell me and the people at MyCAA told me that the EC People should have some sort of Portal log-in that they can access to verify our eligibility. So I got a big fat run-around for like a week. THEN I stumbled across that little icon that has the FA info on it and I was IN BUSINESS!!! Where are you in the program now?

Just STARTING...ugh! LOL I graduated my LPN program in July. I need the 7 exams and Microbiology, so that's not too bad! You just started in May? How long did you spend on each exam?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is "CAA?"

It's the Career Advancement Account. A grant for military spouses.

Fmoore723, how long after you sent your voucher were you able to enroll for your exam?

I emailed my voucher and at the same time they had me request to have them enroll me in the exams I wanted. The email went something to the effect of "Attached is my FA voucher. Please enroll me in HDLS2 and 3 when able to process". That same day, I was registered and able to schedule it.

BTW: What branch is your hubby and where are you stationed?

Felicia

They had me fax mine! I will def. e-mail the next one along with the note! My hubby is Air Force and we are at Holloman in NM! We've been here about 3 months and I love it. You?

Hubby is also AF. We are stationed at Luke in Phoenix, got here a year ago in January. I also like it here, summer was pretty darn hot but we survived. We were previously at Langley in Virginia, which is home.
