anyone out there start a transition program and then decide to go to excelsior

I am having a very hard time making a decision here. I started an LVN-RN transition program this summer. I went summer one and we have 2 semesters to go until graduation. I had such a miserable time with the college I just dont know if I want to go back. I am thinking about Excelsior instead. I just cant see living 9 months of misery with this school. Has anyone out there been in this situation? I understand Excelsior will take longer having to wait on my CPNE and all but at this point I dont think I care. Please any advice would be helpful.

If I could get in a transition program faster then I could finish Ec I would, seems like scary things are happening with EC and state boards. Guess that is just incentive to hurry up and get it done though.

I started out in transitional program, and switched to EC after having problems with my program as well. The previous program was just so disorganized, they kept screwing up my financial aid, and their NCLEX pass rates weren't all that good while I was there. Do what is best for you and your career. EC is accepted in TX, so you should have no problems there. I was very happy with my choice.

I'm totally for EC. I plan to enroll as soon as I pass my boards. However, I would stick it out since you are already in it. If you can't then EC is approved in Texas and a HR person in Memorial Herman of Houston advised me towards EC......then go ahead! Best of luck in your decision.
