Anyone had to retake classes for higher grde?

I am considering this although, Id be retaking them because there B's! Ridiculous! Anyhow my school only lets you retake 2 sciences one time. So thats kinda limiting. (Also a problem....)I hate these to DARN C's I got decades ago that haunt me FOREVER! For the love of God! What do ya do??:banghead:

im with you im retaking english and psychology. I too got b's but I geuss you do what you have to do!

When I retake my Algebra class, I will have retaken all 4 of my pre-req classes. :uhoh3: (I have a B now, but I have to have an A in it!!!!)

I had a B in Intro to Psychology, and a B in English 101, both from 1991. I had a B in Algebra from 2001.

My A&P had to be retaken anyway b/c it's been over 5 years. :uhoh3:

I still have a C in Sociology from 1992 that will apply to my RN-BSN, but unless I HAVE to, I don't plan on retaking that. All of my other classes that apply to my ADN are A's (that is IF I make an A in my current Music Appreciation class).

Besides the Sociology, all the classes that apply to my RN-BSN are A's and B's. They are keepers.....again, unless I HAVE to redo the B classes.

I'm just happy that I am doing so much better now than I did then. I don't expect to make A's in nursing school, but I am going to try my best to keep it up!!!!!!

Whoa, you are retaking classes you've already had and got B's in?

I did take a class over (kinda). I was told that my medical microbiology wouldn't count as their micro requirement (Forget which school) so I had to take micro...which, to some schools replaced my med micro grade © which was good (since i got an a in micro later on)

I took A&P I and A&P II over, because I knew that I would not get into the nursing program if I would have B's or C's. I ended up making both A's and it was worth it, since I am in the nursing program now.

I say retake the C's.

Good luck:)

I had to retake the pre-req classes even though they were B's.

A 3.0 wouldn't get you in for sure b/c as it is right now, my 3.77 didn't. :uhoh3:

(I was so proud of that B in Algebra...I hope I can be proud again and get an A!)

Much as I hate to, I think I may take Interpersonal Speech, cause my generic speech course I took years ago isn't the "perferred" one though they will accept my transfer course. Just feel like they'll look more favorably at my application if it's exactly what they wanted... I've got the time, the courses are cheap, may as well. Why me? I hate giving speeches. *whine* lol

I took my Speech online! :chuckle I had to write and perform my speeches and send them in on a video tape....well, I can sing in front of people (maybe not good), but I don't like to give speeches in front of huge groups. I can also teach classes, but not give speeches.

I'm messed up. :rotfl:

First off, most schools will place both grades in your GPA, NOT just the highest, so it may not help that much if it was a C. Secondly, all the schools that have a min of number of classes you can retake, those are ONLY for the prereqs (Micro, A&P, etc.) and nursing courses. Good luck!

A lot of people have done it even though it can be a pain. A smart thing to do is try to find out which teachers are the good ones. Having a good teacher that cares about their students can make a big difference. I had to retake Microbiology this summer cuz i failed it thanx to a bad teacher. During the summer I actually got an A and now i'm in the nursing program :-) woho!
