um.. terms like diseases.. any terms which involves nursing...

:typingwhat i did to get through med term is to write out all the definitions for the words made from word parts for the chapter we were on, and used it like you would use flash cards... except writing them out seperated into prefix, word root, combining vowel and suffix as i wrote them. then i'd just go over and over the ones i got wrong. it works great for memorizing. i'd do this at least once or twice per day. also it's great for the final- you have a study guide for every chapter! as for the other words not built from word parts, those are trickier... what i would do is either make flashcards or highlight things in the definition that will jog your memory about the word, disease, procedure etc. if you teacher is anything like mine, usually for these she used multiple choice or matching and i could at least remember little specifics about the word that were different from the others. doing it everyday- even if it's just for a few minutes really makes a difference. i tutor for med term and all my students have raised their grades at least 10 percent by just using these tricks!!! :yeah:
