I applied to the nhmccd colleges (Montgomery, Tomball, and North Harris ). I called Mont. and looked on Tomball and NH websites and they are all saying sometime in April ?? The wait is horrendous. I check the mail everyday hoping for the LETTER. It was so funny last week i got 2 letters from the college and when i saw the envelopes i started to shake even though i knew that they were not the LETTERS (and of course they were not). Good luck to you and we don't have much longer to wait (i hope anyway).

bettyblinder/atrice,

what are your total points ? I have applied to the NHMCCD colleges too for Fall 06. I have an 11.5. Sure hope to get in.

Does anyone know if we should expect letters in Early April or late april ?

Thank you guys for the reply. I guess we just have to wait. I do not know my total point. are we suppose to figure the points ourselves or the school tells us? anyways i wish you all goodluck.

i am soooo hoping they send the letters out the first week in April....but who knows....surely this process shouldn't take this long since most everything was done online this year. I have an 11.7... and i am also hoping to get in...my younger sister applied also and her points were lower for mont. and north harris and higher for tomball. If you go on tomball's website they use both the math and the reading score divided. NH and Mont. only use the reading comp. My sister is beside herself and is also hoping to get in....she has around a 11.04 for mont. and NH but her score for tomball is higher b/c they factor in the math section which she made a 98 on...her chances are still really good since the cut-off last year was around a 10.8 or 10.9 at NH. It is harder to get into Mont. and Tomball b/c there is fewer seats. The nursing counselor said the cut off last year for Mont. was an 11.1...but as you said texancadian in a previous post they used only the math last year so.....hopefully the total pts. needed to get in will be lower. Good luck to the both of you and i am sooo feeling your anxiety :uhoh3:

your total points were on the application package you printed off line and handed into the nursing office. They were on your score sheet (the one that had 4 possible pts. for each section: hesi; gpa in a&p, english, and psyc; and completed prereq courses). Good luck to you also!!!!

hi just a little info for you guys I spoke with one of the head nursing counslers yesterday and she said that she thought the points for acceptance ranged from 11.2 to 11.5. That they will be making their descision on this thursday and letters should go out next week some time. So I would expect your letters in two weeks. She also said their were around 850 applicants, and that they are doing thier best to add more seats to the nursing program. I hope this helps and good luck to all that applied!!!!

So, what college counsler did you speak with and which school are you referring too (Mont, NH, or Tomball--or all 3)? Thank you sooo much for the info.!!

hi it was at mont. and I dont want to post her full name but she is the head of the nursing department here are her intitials J.M. I was at the lvn orientation and this is what she told me. I applied to both the lvn and the rn. but my points are not high enough for the rn I have an 10.76. So I figured I would go ahead and get started with the lvn. Talk about some major competition! It seems like every year it gets worse....:uhoh3: I hope this helps and goodluck

oopps I forgot to tell you that she did say this was for all 3 n.h mont. and tomball. we were stunned at how high the points were considering that they are no longer taking the math scores.

Just foir perspective and knowledge sake, what was the cutoff for the LVN program ? do you have any details ? Did everyone apply get in. A friend of mine is interested in the LVN-->RN route also.

im not sure what the cuttoff points were I know my friend that has an 10.86 for the adn got in for the lvn im #2 on the alternate list for the lvn. I dont remember what my points were. Im sorry. I thought I was going to get in for sure but instead Im on the alternate list. Im hoping since im #2 I still have a good shot of getting in. Im soooo ready to start something there are 24 slots and there are 12 alternates. who know this would be so difficult.... goodluck I hope you get into the adn program
