Anyone else on a waiting list?

I'm waitlisted too but I go to a CC college right now. Our wait list is 2 1/2 years as of January when I petitioned. So I decided to forgo CC and go to the local University to get my BSN because I can get that in the same time (or less) than it would take me to get my ADN!! Crazy huh? I'm still on the CC waitlist because that is my backup plan but more than likely I'll write them a letter and let them know that I'm going to the Uni insted.

Yeah, it totally sucks being on a list like this. I decided to get my CNA and now I'm searching for a part time job in a hospital as a tech (same as a CNA) while I finish my prereq's for my BSN.

Hey I'm waitlisted too! Do you guys know how many people they take for the waiting list? I think it's interesting that I'm on the waitlist even though my GPA is 3.4 and yours is a 3.8 ? This makes me wonder just how long this list is..

The CC I applied to doesn't go by GPA which upsets me a little because I have a 3.9 right now. Luckily the University does look heavily at that and from what I've heard from other students, I have a pretty competitive GPA so I'm expecting to get right in.

The CC that I applied to goes by the date that you declared nursing as a major! Wierd huh? I hear the drop out rate is quite high. Go figure.

I have no idea how long the waiting list is. I don't think they only go by GPA though. I am going to call and see if they can tell me what # on the waiting list I am. I have to find full-time daycare for both of my kids if I start in the fall. I would like to know what my chances of getting in are. Good luck!

My number is in the 20s. Maybe we will both get lucky and get in . I'm not expecting to get in though. Are you going to reapply for next year? Or did you get into any other schools?

I amon the waiting list at vance granville community college we were told that our teas scores would determine if we got in if two people scores are tied and there is only one spot left then the date you applied would determine the tie good luck the waiting is killing me but they do take 40 students:idea:

I just got a call today and they offered me a spot for the fall!!! I am so shocked because I didn't think I would have a chance. I already accepted that I would have to wait another year to start school. Now I have a lot to do this summer to get ready for the Fall....like find daycare for my son. I'm so excited!
