Anyone else feels like they failed @ 75?

Published

I just took the NcLex today. I had 75 questions and it shut off. I'm 95% sure I failed because I feel like the questions they were giving me were easy ones and I still didn't know the answer to them. Now I'm terrified cuz I'm scared of this new format they have rolling out in April. Also, I know I'm not 'smart' enough to shut down at 75 and pass, after the last question I was praying for another to redeem myself.. Sorry just felt like telling someone. Argh!

Honestly many many feel like this after sitting the exam.

Good luck

Just don't worry about it. If you didn't pass, you just do it again, until you do. If something happened, and you did pass, you will be pleasantly surprised. So relax. And congratulations for having taken the test.

Haha, That is much easier said than done. When I walked out of the Testing center my proctor thought I was going to pass out. But thanks. Did anyone here about this new format they're working towards in APril?

I really would wait until you get your results before worry about anything else. If you check out the pearsonvue trick thread that may give you peace of mind and if you check out the NCSBN website you should find information regarding the changes that are happening in April with the RN exam

That thread is huge. I've read a majority of people for it to be true, except maybe 2 cases. I'm a bit hesitant because I've done it and it won't let me pay. I think waiting is the worst part. blahh

If it won't let you pay then it sounds like good news, Hang in there and good luck

So.. how reliable is the "unofficial results" from Pearson? I paid the 8 bucks and My status says PASS!!, that means I passed right? I'm just asking because I'm still in such disbelief, and my name isn't in the BON verification, but I'm assuming that it takes a couple days to get there.

But yeah, I passed unoffically WAHOO!

I also took the test March the 5th. I also had 75 questions. I also thought I failed. It wouldn't let me get to the credit card pay screen either. I found out this morning at 0845 that I passed. AND SO DID YOU!!!

I took mine yesterday, March 6th. Mine also shut off at 75. I am hearing a lot of rumors, i.e. the pearson vue trick (wouldn't let me pay either), and also that most people pass if they were stopped at 75 questions. But the only thing that will REALLY make me feel better is seeing my unofficial results for sure. But I think because my test was on a Sat, and you have to wait 2 business days, I may not know until Wednesday even. Oh well! I'm so nervous... :uhoh21:

Also, in reply to your question about the unofficial results - your pass/fail status will not change between your unofficial and official results. Your "official results" are just the hard copy that you will get in the US mail. Also the unofficial results do not technically authorize you to practice yet. But a pass is a pass! So congrats!
