Anyone applied to Chabot's nursing program for Fall 2019?

I haven't seen a forum created on here yet for this year, so I thought I would make one. Love for some people to share some of their stats. Also if anyone knows when they normally send out notices?

I did apply and I got an email when I submitted my application that they'll notify us the week of April 30th, aka forever away. It sucks to have to wait for so long!

I know right! It's the waiting game. I wonder how many applicants applied this year. Crossing my fingers we get in. :(

Do you know if we receive notification about being the top 1/3? Or do we not have any information until the week of the 30th when they send out acceptances?

I'm not entirely sure but based on the previous forums, someone said that they wont have any information until after the 30th. The process could take while but to be near your phone and listen to your voicemail in case they call cause they can move on quick if you don't respond when they reach out to you to let you know if you've been offered a spot. The waiting game sure makes me anxious.

Me too! :( I'll definitely be checking my e-mail and phone every 10 minutes during the week of April 30th! Do you know how many points you applied with?

Hi - I applied to Chabot and Ohlone. Extremely nerve wrecking! I’ve been trying to find any stats on avg points/TEAS score/GPA for accepted students and I can’t seem to find that anywhere.

I’m constantly checking my zonemail even though I know they stated emails w statuses will be sent out week of April 30

My stats:

Science: 4.0gpa

Pre-riqs: 3.61gpa

No health experience and a second language. TEAS score was average.. too embarrassing to say lol. I am hopefully my science grades pull through on that part. What are your stats looking like?

Of course!

well yeah stats for some people (aka me) are too personal or embarrassing if they feel like it’s not that good.

I believe I got a lower point total on my Chabot application (I believe it was around 65) , mainly from my TEAS score (77.3) SO CLOSE TO THE CUT OFF FOR HIGHER POINTS!!! ? but for my GPA I believe got full points. All A’s except 1 B in Micro. Got points for volunteer work, second language, need to work, and whatever else there was lol.. I got more points on the Ohlone app (I think I got like 75).. feel incredibly nervous because my TEAS score was lower than I wanted. But I hope they look at all other factors (GPA in math 4.0 / science 3.67 / English / speech / soc. 4.0 & additional stuff like 2nd language, life experience, first generation, volunteer work, etc.).

I’m currently losing my hair and having my daily dose of anxiety!!!!! lol... GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE!!! Will keep y’all posted w any news.

Please feel free to share your stats!! This is a community trying to help and encourage each other ?

It's hard to say what the point cut off is, because I definitely feel like it could be pretty low. Keep in mind as long as you're top 1/3, even if you have the lowest points out of the 1/3, you could get in because of the lottery! My points come out to 85, which I would feel pretty confident with... but because of the lottery, you never know, so I am extremely nervous and definitely feeling like I'm not going to be lucky. I wish there were some stats about the average applicants, but I don't think the nursing program likes to release any numbers. :( Good luck to us all!

Stats:

TEAS: 84.7%

I have 3.0 in sciences class ( I think this hurt me)

Language, I do have an AA, but no work experience. Total points= 64
