I'm willing to move (from Michigan) and can't find an ADN program with no waitlist that doesn't charge an outrageous out-of-state tuition rate. Any ideas?

Dallas county community college in Dallas, Texas does not use a wait list. There are three colleges who offer an ADN program (El centro, Brookhaven, and Mountainview). Each base your entry on GPA of 4 pre reqs, your hesi A2 entrance score, and having completed a list of about 15 support courses.
Each semester they depending on the college they choose between 30-40 students out of all who apply, and the top numbers based on the above criteria are given the spots. If a person does not make the cut they do what they can to be more competitive, and get more points and apply the next semester. There is no waiting list you either have the top number of points or you dont.

I agree. The El Centro College ADN Program does not have a waiting list. 100 students are selected each semester, 50 at the El Centro campus and 50 at the Northlake campus. Your entry into the program is based on you PRE-REQ GPA, which consists of 5 classes. The higher your pre-req GPA, the higher are your chances of getting in. I hope to be getting in this fall and I started my pre-reqs this past fall (07). The out-of-state fees are rather low also, for the WHOLE program it would run you into 12,000. You may only have to pay out of state fees for a year if you actually move here, so it would be lower than than, much lower. Plus Dallas is a nice city!!! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Baker College of Clinton Twp, MI doesn't have a wait list. Either you have the top 30 points in their point range or you don't get in. You can reapply the next application period with 1 extra point for reapplying, but, that is all.
It doesn't go just by GPA. There are several criteria to their system:
ENG 102
PSY 111
MTH 111
SPK 201
HSC 103
SCI 220A
SCI 102C
SCI 101C
HSC 207
SCI 211
They take the top 30 students in this point range.

University of the Virgin Islands in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. If I remember correctly, non-resident tuition is $330 a credit. Here's a link to the Associate of Science Nursing website.
$330 a credit hour? That can get pricey for an ADN prgram. DCCCD (Dallas County) is $115 an hour for out-of-state students, but you really only have to pay that for a year.
I'm not sure, but I think that's how much it is. I live here and pay $110 a credit.
