Any other nurses here with some form of MI?

I'm new here, an ADN/RN with bipolar type 1. I was diagnosed in May 2001 and I'm currently receiving disability and working PRN at a local nursing home. However, I'm enrolled in an online school to get my BSN and MSN. My goal is to get off of disability (doesn't pay much anyway) and do something in nursing besides nursing home work. I would really like to teach nursing on the college level; I have also considered becoming a nurse practitioner.

After trying several different medication regimens, what I'm on now I've been stable for going on 4 years now. I'm very motivated and super confident that I can get through my schooling.

Does anyone else have any mental illnesses...e.g. bipolar, depression, anxiety, etc?

Blessings, Michelle
