Anxiety over a final

I've been a lurker on this site for a long time, but this is my first time posting anything. I'm at the end of 3rd semester of nursing school. I have my med Surg II final tomorrow and I having a lot of anxiety. I'm having trouble sleeping, my heart is racing, I'm breathing heavy, and I just can't calm down. I'm freaking out over this exam and it's never happened to me before. Do you get anxiety for exams? What do you do for it? Please help!

*disclaimer: I am NOT asking for medical advice, I'm just asking for coping strategies and calming techniques.

Just try to stay confident/positive. If you have done well on your other tests keep reminding yourself of this. You could also try to take your mind off of it by reading a book, watching tv, or intentionally redirecting your thoughts. Good luck and you will do fine!

Review your notes the morning of the test. I find this is the best thing that helps calm my nerves.

Also, your third semester is almost finished. Think about the lovely break you'll have before the 4th semester begins!
