If I have a blemished criminal record.....will it be impossible for me to get a lisence from the board...even if I have great academic standing the whole way through school?
This is what I am really worried about.

The only people that can really advise you on this type of situation would be your state's board of nursing. Look for a link to your BON in the gray toolbar at the top of the page under 'Links.' Good luck to you!
LOL....I should have thought about that.......But thank you for the tip!:icon_hug:

It all depends on what types of offenses are on your record. Some schools won't even allow you to enroll with certain types of things on your record. The best advice is to go to the state BON website or call them. Have you already finished school??
No not yet.....but I am in the process of getting prepared for this up-coming quarter.
that is why it is important for me to determine the overall feasibility...in the long run.

two questions we seem to be encountering more and more often have to do with the effects of a criminal history on nursing licensure:
these are questions that can not be answered by the membership of allnurses. the only reliable source of information is your state board of nursing.
