Hi i dont know if anyone will be able to help me but i am currently doing my annotated bibliography essay and am having a complete nightmare. Is there anyone that can give me some pointers on how to get started please?

These things usually follow specific rules. What rules of formal paper presentation were you told to follow in doing this essay?

If it wasn't specified, you can't go wrong using the MLA or APA styles.

I use OWL alot and my professors recommend getting A Pocket Style Manual by Hacker. You can get it at amazon used for about $13. I can't count how many times it has helped me. Easy to understand and organized very well. Has APA and MLA formats with examples but also contains common grammatical mistakes, when to use lie, lay, sit, set, etc.

Do your bibliography as you normally would (in whatever style MLA, APA, etc. that is required by your class).
Then, write a short abstract about your source and why it is an acceptable/suitable source to cite for your paper.
