Hi all! My names Mat i am now about to start my final yr as a student nurse in sept. When i finally qualify i would really love to nurse somewhere in us but i am a little worried about doing it alone is there anyone here that has done it alone? I hav never visited the us but the salary and weather is really appealing to me. I realise when i recieve my transcript that i may have a problem topping up my time in certain areas which is annoying but i will hopefully overcome that problem when i comes.
Is there anyone that has moved from the uk to us alone?
Also is there any student nurses that have to fill a portfolio as part of there course? or know anything about EU directives as i believe these may be able to help with the lack of time in different areas in relation to transcripts
;)

Suggest you look at the UK forum as there are plenty of people to help. However, I'm afraid your first problem will be not enough hours due to the current form of UK training.
Check out the forum for all the answers etc.

Hi
I am sort of doing it on my own, that is I am with a recruiter. Agencies have there uses and can help with the paperwork but I preferred this route as I have more choice in where I will be working and also believe the pay is a little bit better as I am fortunate to be paid for my UK experience.
Would be worth whilst still at uni to try and get some hours in where you will be missing ie maternal, mental health etc. and make sure it is both theory as well as practical
Have a good read on here, there are people who have done it alone
Good luck
