Allegheny CRNA program 2019

Updated:   Published

Hi !

Applied to Allegheny last week. Has anyone attended this school or know anyone that has completed the program? The first time pass rate is only 80%... maybe due to the speed of the program, but I would lie to hear some feedback from students!

I did not apply because I got in elsewhere, but I took a good look at this school and called and spoke to them. It is very attractive for its short duration (24 months) and affordable price (roughly 65K total I was told).

I can't speak on their first time pass rate, but it seems very selective. They said they get 75-100 apps to fill 20 seats, but they don't always fill the seats if they are not impressed with the candidates - for example they only took 14 a few years back.

You do two one on one interviews with the director and the assistant director and the sessions are heavily focused on your clinical knowledge from what they told me.

I know several students who are and have been in this program .it is not the easiest program to be in .. the curriculum and the school principles are very rigid and strict on top of all the normal stress you have in a CRNA School. I got into a neighboring school that's quite the contrary and I feel I fu cation better in such an environment. It's all about how you want your love to be - a strangling 24 months or an easy going 36 months

Specializes in CCRN, CMC, CRNI.

I'm also very interested in the program due to the length and cost, definitely interested in hearing more

hey PRN Xanax, I got an interview invitation two weeks ago. interview start today and are weekly.

I received a interview invitation. I am very nervous about the interview. I have heard that the clinical questions are very hard and is the primary focus.

I applied but haven't been contacted yet. Anyone else not hear about an interview yet? I will call them by the end of the week if I don't hear soon.

I got an interview. Can anyone verify that the interview experience is the same as previous years? One that is all clinically based and another that is more getting to know you and behavior based? Anyone want to share how they thought their interview went?

I’ve talked to current and former students. The interview is brutal. The director drills you with clinical questions and also heard they make the program order than it should be. I will be interviewing in a few weeks. Very nervous about it

That just seems so unnecessary. CRNA school will be challenging, but I don't get why grilling someone in the interview process is necessary. Many other schools don't do that and graduate their students prepared to be successful practitioners. But it is what it is. Bring it on.

Anyone interview yet? How was it? Mine's coming up in a couple of weeks.

My is next week. Haven’t heard from anyone that has interviewed. Getting a bit anxious
