Algebra 1 and 2

I have always been HORRIBLE at Math. Probably since the 4th grade. I went for Sumer school every year thereafter until 11th grade. I was so intimidated that I never took any college math. Now, at 42 I couldn't put it off any longer. I took algebra 1 and 2 over the summer in 5 week sessions, once a week for 4 hours a night. 10 whole weeks of torture and feeling terrified. Long story short, I just finished algebra 2 last night and I am VERY proud to say that I had passed them both. I was shaking with excitement, and I know people out there with my same math phobia need confidence. Believe me, if I did it, you can do it too. I even managed to pull a 100 on my final last night. I didn't pass with an A but what matters is that I passed! So, don't ever let math or any other subject stand between you and anything you want to do!

Good job, you! I'm the same way. Horrible at math, or so I keep telling myself. Summer school, yada yada........ When I started college courses again at age 47 I discovered that math still didn't come easy for me, but it came easier than it did in high school. I did pass my Math for allied health class with an A but I still don't know how I did it. Now that I am in my first week of nursing school it's the math that still causes me extreme anxiety. I plan on making sure I have dimensional analysis down pat.

Thanks Lori! Best of luck to you too! I star statistics on Monday but I have a feeling this one will be better. I don't start my nursing classes until may.
