Can anyone answer this question, when is old to old in nursing?
And is it feasible to return to nursing if your older?

I would think that as long as you can do the job it shouldn't matter? How old you and how long were you away?

Well, I waited till my youngest was in HS so I would have my RN by the time he graduated. I am 52 years young, passed NCLEX in 75 questions and a 3.75 GPA. I only went on 2 interviews and turned down one of them! I'm working in a PCU and I love it! My son graduates in June and leaves for the Army in July, I'm so thankful I didn't listen to the "I'm too old" voice in my head! Go for it, your never too old to follow your dreams :)

I think that as long as you can perform the job and still have the desire to serve mankind:D. Then I say age is just a number.

You can look at it from an economic point of view - do the math- your cost of education against what you will make and how many more years you want to work to see if it is worth it to you. Or, maybe this does not matter to you and you would still enjoy pursuing this career. Sometimes you can not put a price on your happiness.
