Looking for career path options. Is is better to go LPN to RN? I would like to be a surgery tech. What are my options for nursing if I go that route?

I think it would probably be better to go LPN to RNIf you're looking for a nursing path, surgical tech would be nowhere in the equation. And if you become an LVN or RN, you'll be trained as a generalist and not guaranteed an OR position.

We had a surg tech in our nursing class and she knew she wanted to be an OR nurse. If you know you want the OR, get a job as a surg tech while getting your RN.
