I think all areas are different as to what you can and can't do, most likely in the interview they will ask at the end if you have any questions, that would be a good time to ask about job reqs if they haven't already told you during the interview process :)

Most job interviews I've had ask two different types of questions. They ask what seem like somewhat informal questions about you. Your background, interests, career plans, education, things like that. Then they ask questions about work experience, job skills, and maybe some specific questions about your ability to perform the job you are applying for.

I just started a new job as a tech at pretty much the best hospital I could hope to work at. The most important thing for them seemed to be acute care experience above all else. They wanted to know I had experience taking care of multiple sick people at once, that I had worked with RNs directly, and that I had references for these settings that would vouch for my performance.

Being a nursing student can be a double edged sword. There are a ton of them applying for tech positions and its understood they wont be available much, will be stressed out with school, and see the job as just a temporary stepping stone. Still, if you don't have work experience as a tech or CNA, its all you got, so just stress the clinical training I guess.

Be aware some places actually won't accept you because they know you are in school and won't fill that position long term. I know many people who got denied PCT jobs because they said they were in the RN program.
