I apologize if this question has been covered. I have done searches all over the Internet, and I can't seem to find a definitive answer. I am currently working on my ADN in the U.S., but my dream is to eventually practice nursing in Australia, probably Sydney. Will I have to convert my ADN to a BSN in order to do this? Thanks in advance!

I think the best and the most accurate answer would come from the NSW Nurses and Midwives board. They are the ones who will be issuing your license anyway, should you opt to migrate to Australia (Specifically Sydney) and work as a Registered Nurse. I would recommend sending them an email about your situation. I think as long as you have experience to back you up, it wouldn't be much of a problem. But just to be sure, you can verify it with them. :)

Generally you have to meet the same hours as the country so if their training is 3 years then yours has to meet that. It generally is dcided on what hours on on your transcripts so could be accepted there again may not. Only way to find out is once you have completed training and go through the process of licensure at the state you want to live
