my patient is on isolation for acd. is acd e.coli infection?

ACD=anemia of chronic disease. Your patient is on isolation for something else. ACD is often found in HIV and cancer patients. Are you sure it's not reverse isolation?

Could it be: acute communicable disease?

What are there symptoms, flu like?

What protection do you use?

ACD can also refer to acute contact dermatitis which would require isolation if it resulted from a parasitic infection (such as scabies). Yikes! I'm itching already!
