Accreditations

Published

I am looking into transferring schools because the school I currently attend is not a place I want to be at. I spoke to someone at UCF today who mentioned that all the classes I have done at my current school would not transfer over because this school is not accredited. They claim to be. What accreditation am I looking for exactly just to be sure?

If you are west coast you want W.A.S.C western association of schools and colleges. If you are not west coast call the local PUBLIC community college and ask what accreditation they have.

CCNE or NLNAC for nursing school and for regular university, looks for regional accreditation. What does it say it's accredited by?

Octobersongs: they say the are accredited by a few ones. Middle Estates or something like that. I have to look it up . All these classes wasted if they won't transfer, all this money wasted. Now what do I do?

Middle States is for schools from the Mid-Atlantic (New York to DC). A Florida school should have SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). Commission on Colleges

Spoke to UCF again and the girl said she actually researched more after talking to me yesterday and yes, the school I'm currently attending IS accredited! So now I have a big decision to make! Thanks guys!
