Hello! I recently got accepted into an 11 month LPN program in Oklahoma :) I am a mommy, wife, and work part time in a Microbiology laboratory. I am praying I can handle all of this!!! I was one of 24 to get accepted so I feel blessed! I plan to bridge over to OU's LPN-BSN program. I have a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology but my GPA was not quite high enough to do a ABSN degree so I am falling backward and doing a vo-tech program and then moving forward to a BSN in 9 months once I bridge over. I am hoping that LPN school won't kick my butt too terribly bad because of the courses I have taken in the past but I am sooooooo nervous and scared!!!!

Specializes in hospice, HH, LTC, ER,OR.

Congrats!!!!!!! =) I can't wait to say that I got in!!! Hopefully next spring I'll be able to say this!!! I'm a single mom myself and really want to give my daughter and myself a great life! =)

Congrats... You will do just fine. I knew some of my classmates that worked while in the program, some even full time with kids. Don't be scared. I promise...when I picked my 3 boxes of books up in the summer prior to starting in the fall, I cried for a week. I was like, oh no I have picked the wrong degree, I can never get thru all of this material and own it and pass classes. I was soooo wrong. I graduated, passed every exam and class and just took my NCLEX- PN and passed with 85 question in under an hour.

So, keep the faith..make sure you have a support system at home and make friends in class. One of my best friends in the world is a girl I made friends with in school. It was great to have someone to vent to that knew exactly how I was feeling and all the hard work nursing school requires. It will be a fast, fun ride..just hold on. Best of luck to you.

Thanks soooo much for the support! And Congrats on finishing!

Congrats! Just remember to PRAY & hv faith & u will be fine.

yay congrats! Im sending in my application this week so hopefully i will get accepted here in ohio!

Congratulations!!!! Getting in with only 24 spots available is quite an achievement! I hope I get the same great news! Good luck!!

Congrats!!! Getting accepted in today's competitive world is quite an accomplishment. My class accepted 30 and that is considered large.

Congrats! It's tough but your background will most def benefit you!!
