Accelerated BSN program NYU Fall 2011

Hi hopeful Fall 2011 NYU students!

I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.

I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.

Love to see who all is applying and how it's going:)

hi annie!

Thanks! I actually got into MGH's new accelerated bsn... it was only started a couple years ago so it's still up and coming. I'm glad to hear your friend chose it.... only makes my decision harder haha,

but I think I'm leaning towards NYU :)

OMG guys! I just logged into Albert and my financial aid status is now listed but there is no reward amount. Has any of yours changed? I think this is a sign that I'm accepted. Please check and get back to me. Good luck guys! :)

how are you guys going to fund NYU, purely through loans, is anyone considering working?

Clarkc27, what does the financial aid section say for you? I think it's a good sign too!

Jahworks,

It use to be blank and now it say's NYU 2012. Award decision not available. So I'm hoping that's a good sign. When did you apply? This is so nerve wracking. Lol

KKandes,

I also went to SDSU! I hope you get in along with everyone else on here. Lol

Clarkc27, I think you are in! I applied march 1st and I'm still waiting. My financial aid is still blank. Congrats!

jahworks, did you apply for the accelerated program or the traditional program? That's crazy that you applied in March and still haven't heard anything....I hope you get in!!! :)

My profile for financial aid has not changed yet. For those who were accepted, did your profiles change before you found out?? This is all so nerve-wracking, guessing and trying to figure out the method to acceptances. I don't know how much longer I can wait, I applied back in Feb. and still no word yet. Very frustrating and discouraging :crying2:

KKandes,

I wouldn't base it simply on financial aid. I applied, and got accepted before I filed for financial aid. Don't get discouraged yet. It is rolling admissions and they have yet to send out more letters so there is no reason to get discouraged now and think that you will not be accepted. You've been waiting for a long time already so don't lose hope now.

Thanks Dan for the encouraging words! I am trying to stay positive, but just becomes harder as the days pass. Hopefully I will be getting some positive news this month and be able to celebrate with you all! Thanks again :)

KKandes,

I agree with Dan. The good news is they are sending letters out biweekly and when I called last week they said they still had spots available. :)
