Abuse at school

How do you deal with student abuse from teachers in nursing school? Nurses are terrified to address this topic, some even to the point of absolute denial.

What do you suggest to do?

For the nurses who promote it, how do you justify it? I just want to know the truth is all, and to go from there.

Blondy,

Do you believe that abuse in nursing doesn't exist?

1.) Yes

2.) No

Don't worry Blondy, I used to be scared to answer these questions too :)

Of course I believe it exists. I don't just believe it exists in nursing, I believe it exists in all professions. Do I believe you've experienced it from what you say here? No. Keep in mind that you haven't experienced "nursing" yet. You've experienced some of college.

I don't understand your point. Do you believe that patronizing people will result in the answer you want? No one here is "scared" to answer these questions. Abuse exists in all professions. Period. It is not specific to just nursing. Take it or leave it, but that's how it is. I think it is time for you to put all your advanced degrees to use and figure out something else to do with your time, because you are not getting very far here.

You're funny. What is your "bunch of advanced degrees" in?

What kind of social media do you recommend? I am not very tech savy

I've read that a flyer (hand-written is ok since you're "not very tech savy [sic]" stapled to a telephone pole and detailing the situation has been effective in other cases like yours...

Hey blondy,

What school did I go to for nursing?

That is a really great idea Cohiba! I think that I might use that.

That is so brilliant!

I cannot say which degrees I have, mainly because I will be identified on this site if someone looks at it.

Although that is obvious proof, I wouldn't lie about having degrees.

I don't think throwing advanced degrees on the table will do any good. It is just an illustration that I know what school is like.

What on earth does that have to do with anything? I said from what you've told us, nothing stands out as abuse. Perhaps your reading comprehension is part of why you are struggling?

[COLOR=#003366]SionainnRN - This is a clear, straightforward question:

Do you believe that abuse in nursing doesn't exist?

1.) Yes

2.) No

It's okay, I also used to think that focusing on details would distract me from the idea in front of me.

There is abuse in every field so you pointing that out isn't new. What you haven't done is bring one example of abuse to us. You just talk in circles without saying anything.

You're right Viva, I'm not getting far here. But I have had some great tips.

Viva, you seem like a smart girl, what tips do you have?

Now is your time to shine.

Are you kidding me?!

I do have tips. However, they violate the TOS, so I think I will just keep them to myself.

Good luck to you in your future endeavors.
