Thank u for ur reply.As I m an international student my education should be evaluated by CGFNS_CES to know whether it is equivalent to US degree or not .....and i got that evaluation it's equivalent to US degree......now how i have to go further? My evaluation will be sent directly by CGFNS to Ohio Board Of Nursing.......Now should I inform to Ohio board of nursing I can directly apply to pearson vue......Do u have any idea? Plz help

If you haven't already done so you need to complete a application for the state and pay any state fees.

Call your state board and ask them the process. But I believe you have to apply like everyone else, register and pay your state fee and once they approve your application than you can pay Pearson Vue.

I am too a Foreign nurse.. :) I also also have used the services of CGFNS to verify my education... The other posts are right, you still have to apply for licensure to you State of choice.. CGFNS will send them the report, and when everything is all good the BON of your State will send you a letter of Eligibility, and will inform you that you can now register at Pearson Vue to take the exam.. Let me point out though, that Pearson Vue must also receive the letter of eligibility from the BON of your State, I think that Pearson will request it themselves, not sure though... Then Pearson Vue will send you your ATT either through mail or email(if you provide them with yours)....

Thank u Faithful Pau for ur good suggestion..........thank u so much..........That means Ohio board of nursing will send me the letter of eligibility ....I don't have to msg to ohio board about this? Do u know how long it will take to get the letter of eligibility from BON?

I was informed by CGFNS that they forwarded my applications to my State BON last March, and I received the letter of eligibility from the BON last April, so about a month and 1/2 wait.. But it varies from person to person.. some received it only in a month, some earlier...

Again, I advise you to submit a separate application to your State BON for the licensure, this is separate from the application you submitted to CGFNS.. Hopefully your State BON sends you the letter of eligibility early so that you can register with Pearson Vue and be able to schedule your exam if you desire to do so already... I didn't ask the BON to send the letter, they sent it to me automatically by mail.. :)

This is a waiting game, so be patient and have faith, everything will push through in God's time.. :) During my wait, I even got impatient and got a bit anxious, but in the end everything worked out fine..

This is how it worked for me, I just hope it does well for you too..

As mentioned in the other post a lot will depend on the state and whether your dependant visa will allow you to work. Be aware of visa retrogression and the inability at the moment in a lot of cases of changing status and being able to work (a lot will depend on finding employer and what immigrant visa category you file under)

If its about working with VISAs and all, I really don't have that much of an idea on how everything goes, but I think Silverdragon102 is right, its does depend on the policies of your selected state whether you can work with an F-2 Visa or not, and it is true that there is a VISA retrogression as of now, this is why it will be a difficult path towards attainment of another VISA, particularly a working VISA... But as I've done, never lose hope..
