A quick question :) re Washington state license

Hi :) I would be taking the NCLEX RN in Washington State in the future. I graduated and trained in the Philippines, my Philippine License is expired, I read on their website that they require a current license regardless of what country or state when applying for NCLEX RN in Washington State, does it need to be valid when I submit my application or not? It's a simple question but I simply don't know the answer, thanks in advance to those who will answer and give clarifications 😊

P.S. What study aide will you recommend for NCLEX RN Exam? Thanks again 😊

How will I move it? It's my first time in this forum, "still getting to know" with the icons

thanks Ma'am 😊 didn't notice the category, really appreciate it 😊

Have you tried asking the BON their thoughts on your question?

No, because currently I'm in Japan and would want to know before I arrive in WA, it might cost me a lot of time and money when I do it (license renewal) from WA to Philippines than Japan to Philippines, and was hoping that anyone from this forum can answer my question. Or if I don't need to renew it, then it would be a relief :)

It might "cost (you) a lot of time and money" if someone here gives you a wrong answer and you act on it. How much time and effort does it take to email the WA BON and ask them directly? Theirs is the only answer that matters. Best wishes.

yes, on the other side, you're right, I tried to contact them with the email on their website but it's been a week now, didn't hear from them yet :( it'll be a few weeks before I fly to WA..thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that; I've always gotten quick responses from my BON(s) when I've emailed. Have you tried telephoning them?

I passed my NCLEX-RN through self review. Here are my materials:

1. Lippincotts Q and A for the NCLEX RN

2. Lippincotts Alternate Format Questions

3. Saunders NCLEX RN 6th edition

4. Kaplan 2014-2015 NCLEX RN

5. Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX RN

Good luck! :)
