So I recently started A&P.Im going by the content guide to study, I ordered the recommended book, SG101 and using flash cards, you tube lectures and anything else I can find. My big problem is all the information even on content guide seems to be a lot and Im not sure how to narrow things down. I am stuck on cells right now and its just not clicking for me. Seems to be overload. Wow any study habits that can be shared and I hope the nursing exams arent this lengthy. Thanks:)

I am starting A&P today as well! Doing the exact things you are
Good Luck Savy31. Have you done any other exams? I think Im going through a little attention deficit problem haha and just trying to get back into studying. Im not used to not having a teacher. So this is new trying to self study and a whole book at that.Im going to keep watching this site and see what others come up with and keep looking for new ways all the time. The motivation is there, I just have to step a way for a few days to figure this out.

You really can't "narrow down" the A&P content. Remember, you are condensing two semesters' worth of material into one ginormous exam. It's going to take you some time! Be diligent, you'll get there. :) I felt like the exam was heavy on physiology and lighter on anatomy, but follow the content guide -- I took it in 2007. lol. Good luck!!

I took this exam a while back. On this thread, I posted what I used: https://allnurses.com/nursing-online-distance/passed-p-exam-511889.html
I really liked the Standard Deviants Anatomy DVD and the Studygroup 101 material.

I agree-- you have to really motivate yourself! Have you taken anymore classes?

I used A & P the easy way ONLY. Did the book front to back, and chapter end tests/quizzes that I got below an 85 on I put in a separate pile and then I went through the book a second time only doing those below 85 chapters. Got an A.

Was the book by Barron's?
I gave myself 3 weeks to meet a deadline. Did 2 chapters a day. I believe there were 23 chapters in the book. I spent the remaining days going over weak chapters until I had a minimum of 85% on every chapter quiz/test. It was a lot of work but I tend to do better with short, intense studying(cramming) :)
