A&p1

I am planning on going home to Memphis for the summer and take anatomy and physiology 1. If I do this, I will only have three classes to take next fall before I can apply to the program. What are some suggestions on doing this? All of my family is there and I need the support from mother to get throught that. I believe I can do it even though I have had horror stories about taking that class in the summer. That will be my only class!!!

My school has what are called accelerated modular classes. What that means is that ALL our classes take 1 month. What most students learn in a normal university in 3-4 months, we learn in one month. My first classes back in college after a 17 year hiatus were AP I and II. I made an A and a B and I had them each in 4 weeks. It can be done, it requires A LOT of studying outside class, but it is doable and one can make a great grade doing so. Go for it. GOOD LUCK>

Thank you for the positive feedback. Like I previously posted, I am taking the class back home so that I can have all the study time I need. I have no family where I am and going home to Memphis became the only and best option. I am going to go for it!!

I wish you the best. Keep in mind that summer classes if you haven't taken it already are super hard but do able. I took Chemistry once in the summer and I was not prepared for it. I ended up withdrawling and even though it was 10yrs ago I still regret it. I don't regret not passing, I regreat not being prepared. Just keep in mind that you will be in class probably everyday of the week other than weekends and have lab 2 times a week. What I did wrong was not to study everyday. It is doable. Just make absolutely sure that the A&P 1 will transfer over to your school appropriately. Sometimes they may have the same names, but the school won't accept it.

I am in A&P now and am almost through with it. It is a lot of work, but I think you can do it. Summer classes are more fast paced, but they seem to be smaller classes and if this is the only class you are taking you will be able to focus on it and not be worried about other classes. It will have to be your main focus in the summer and you will probably not be able to do things that you normally get to do because of all of the studying that has to go into it. It is a hard class, but with determination I believe you can do it. If you need any help, let me know. I am getting an A and have learned so much in my class.
