Apr 29, 201412 yr Just wondering if A&P or micro would be the science class to take next? Thanks in advance :)
Apr 29, 201412 yr Good day:I would recommend AP1 and potentially AP2 before Microbiology. If you are strong in the life sciences, it may not matter; however, if you are relatively new to the life sciences, there are some key areas in Microbiology that presume prior knowledge you would gain from AP1/AP2.Thank you.
Apr 29, 201412 yr The schools I have attended require you take A&P 1 and 2 first. One would let you take A&P 2 at the same time as Micro though. I'd definitely take A&P 1 first and like the other poster probably both before Micro.
Apr 29, 201412 yr Author At my school you can go either way micro or A&P 1 & 2 I think I'll do A&P.. I'm nervous!
Apr 29, 201412 yr Yes... 1. Study the lectures the same day you get out of class. You can't cram for A&P. The amount of material is MASSIVE. 2. pay attention in class, sit in the front if you can. That way you can better stay attentive the whole time. 3. Get a study buddy. A GOOD ONE.
Apr 30, 201412 yr Study Buddy! NOT buddies! More than 2 or 3 in a group promotes an all day BS session and nothing gets done (though there are exceptions) 101 is best before micro, since Microbiology is a lot of cells, etc it helps to know what the heck they are talking about! That said, I LOVE microbiology, it's one of the most fun classes I've taken so far. Good Luck!
Apr 30, 201412 yr I took both at the same time and made A's. I do better in my sciences than I do anything else because it's interesting and more useful info. But if you are not strong in science then take A&P first.
