Okay so it has been two weeks since my phone interview with froniter! I must admit I am starting to freak out a little. In what media did you find out you acceptance or rejection? They emailed me once before so I have been checking email daily and snail mail daily. I can't help but to freak out a little......

Oh and I don't know if we do prayer request here but i am going to ask anyhow, Please pray for The Davis Family: Allen, Christy and Kaylee lost their 12 year old son and brother this morning. This is my cousin and it was just a strange circumstance.

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin's loss! I will keep them all in my prayers.

And, I was notified in Nov. of my acceptance to Frontier via email, so keep checking it!

My fingers are crossed for you!

I applied in October and had my interview in late October. My interview (I thought) went really well and she was telling me things I needed to bring to Frontier Bound (so I thought that was a good sign). But since then, I have heard nothing. I sent one email inquiring and they told me that they hadn't gotten to the June apps yet, but that was a while ago. So, I assume that means that I didn't get in. Not sure why--I have good grades and good experience . I just wish they would have told me something! I did get into another program, though, so I will probably go that program. Good luck and let us know when you get the good news!

CNM, what program did you get into?

LadyLabor, I'll be praying for you and your family.

cnm2B, I wouldn't assume that you didn't get in. If they said they haven't gotten to the June apps yet, that's probably true. I applied in early August for the Spring semester and didn't get my acceptance until the end of Nov. I think when you apply so early, they have to wait until all the applications are in, before they make any decisions. When is the application deadline for the June term?

Good Luck to you wherever you end up!

Richelle,

Just had to reply! I am writing this from Frontier Bound! I am in the Bridge Class 60. My personal opinion is that this place is amazing! The history here is fascinating. (And I'm NOT a history person)

Everything here has such a family feel. It is very relaxed and friendly. I'm feeling much more confident and excited about this journey I'm about to begin, after being here.

Congratulations and Good Luck with your journey!

A friend from work, Julie is there right now. I'm jealous, but had to finish my BSN first.

Hey, Don't get discouraged. Frontier is experiencing a big growth right now so it may take awhile to hear back. Hang in there. I graduated from there and It's a great school.

Okay I have to share: When I was a direct-entry midwifery student, my preceptor was a Frontier grad ('02). We went to attend a home visit for a birth in the mountains (of a mountain state, sorry to be vague ;) ) and were intrigued by the "Breckenridge" wrought iron arch above the property. The pregnant woman was the caretaker of the property and through the conversation we learned that we were on Mary Breckenridge's family property! The barn was filled with midwifery memorabilia. When my preceptor told her the story of Mary she said, "So that explains those pictures of the women with babies on horses!" Wow!

Anyway, congratulations on being Frontier Bound. I know many happy grads of the program and hope to consider it whenever I get in and graduate from a ADN program. I'm currently a non-nurse midwife (licensed, certified).
