Post Master Certificate FNP...how did you do it?

Is there anyone out there that has completed their MSN in management and went back to school to get post master's as an FNP? This is my plan. I have been in management for most of my nursing career. I was at an organization for several years before getting my nursing degree so I moved up quickly. I want to explore a primary care role but there is the whole 40 hour work week that us managers do. I do not really want to step out of management for financial reasons and I do like my job. How did you find time to complete clinical?

Of course I know I will lose my Saturdays. I was thinking about asking if I could do 4 10 hour shifts and have off 1 day a week. I will also probably use at least 1 week of vacation a semester to knock out a full week.

So what kind of creative things did you do? Did you do any evening clinicals? I appreciate any suggestions!

I am currently planning this route. I am undecided which route to go, though. Leadership and Management vs. AGPC-NP or take the Leadership and Management route and eventually return to school for a post master's grad certificate in AGPC-NP concentration.

I am sorta in this route as well! I am in a MSN program in education AND admin, and then want to return down the road for the post masters certif in FNP. I feel like this will give me absolutely the most options. I really want to be able to utilize the MSN for a few years first, and get some good leadership experiences, maybe also pick up an adjunct position. I am over half done with the MSN, and homework ALL the time. Every evening, and a lot of the weekend is taken up by work. But I enjoy learning and I'm having a great time with it.
