Does a BSN from an online program have an impact on becoming a nurse anesthetic? Lets say I have a BSN that I got from online classes. Can I still qualify to become a nurse anesthetist once I get my masters?

the only ones to know the answer will be the CRNA school. If you are a licensed RN and have the critical care experience that most CRNA schools require, then your education background may not matter. Talk to advisor at the school, or look at their website to determine qualifications. I doubt they specify online vs. traditional.

Most BSN degrees that were earned via online/distance learning do not contain any stamp or demarcation to indicate that they were earned online.

If you earn a BSN degree from online programs such as the ones offered by the University of Wyoming, Texas Tech or the State University of New York, the degree or transcripts will not read "ONLINE DEGREE." Your degree will be the same as the ones conferred to students who attended their classroom-based programs.

On the other hand, if you complete an online BSN degree through a school that is known for its heavy online presence (read: Walden, UofP, Excelsior), it will generally be assumed you earned your degree online unless otherwise indicated.

Make sure your undergraduate school is accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nurse Education (CCNE) or Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN, formerly NLNAC) accredited nursing programs.

I did an RN-BSN online program and my degree did not state it was online. Was never questioned when I interviewed and I was accepted without issue. As the commuter above mentioned, if the school is well known for online presence then they will 'know' but I do not know if it matters. Calling to ask is always a great idea
