Have not heard from school! should I call?

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question and hope someone could give me some advice. I send in my application about half of a month ago and have not heard from the school if they have recieved my application yet. When I sent it in, there's a reply card which I put my address and a stamp. Usually do they send this piece out when they got the mail? Should I call the school to check? or should I wait?

Many thanks! :)

I'd call. My experience with the process of getting into a school was you had to be assertive. Don't expect the school to do anything for you.

I 2nd that. You can always make sure they got the application.....

hope so!

good luck!

I lost count of how many times I called my school in regards to getting in...I thought for sure our admissions officer would hate me till I started, but we get along great! It doesnt hurt to call, at least then they know you really are serious about going to their school! Good Luck!

Of course! You have the right to know what's going on.

DEFINATELY call!! My school never called or sent me a letter, unlike everyone else. I went up to the school and wanted to see my application and find out why I didn't get a letter either way. Well, my application was there on the desk with a sticky note to call me regarding my transcript from my first degree. Turns out they had just calculated it with some of the classes left out instead of calling me, so my GPA was too low! When they said my name wasn't on the list I said I had calculated my GPA higher than they did, so could I please see how they did it? Sure enough, it was definately high enough to get in and was basically a BIG mistake on their part. They were all sweet and everything then, probably hoping I wouldn't say anything. But I would call at the very least. If you think something isn't right or everyone else got their letters back, it is worth the time and gas to go visit in person. Plus, it can't hurt to get the office people to know your name and face. Good luck!!!
