I dunno 'bout home health, but King's Daughters is hiring loads of nurses. Last I heard, they've got ~160 new grad nurses going through the residency program this summer

Yup KDMC seems to be the big employer this year, I know SOMC in Portsmouth didn't hire alot and there is rumored to be a hiring freeze in Huntington.

Home health wise, I would say call some of the HHA and ask if they are hiring. I know my local paper runs adds for home health nurses quite often and I live about 30 minutes from Ashland.

Being from the Ashland area my stepmom used to work for HH in Louisa (Three Rivers Hospital) for years. She really enjoyed her time there. She now works at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, WV...that's the positive thing about that area...many options when it comes to hospitals...you have Three Rivers, KDMC, OLBH, Cabell, St Mary's etc. Good luck =)

KDMC just laid off 400 people...they suck at this point! lol
